![]() ![]() I get it that CO might be pushing out essential patches at the same time as the content updates. I'd like my stable game to be isolated, and perhaps the ability to run a parallel testing install, or at least a proper rollback. Yes, I know there are Steam workarounds involving offline mode etc, but they're really cumbersome and stupid. This is a game where you can invest dozens, maybe even hundreds, of hours into building and maintaining a precarious ecosystem of mods around a city project, and one update gets pushed onto you whether you want it or not, with the potential to totally break your system. Same issue, also on MacOS if that's relevant.įor CS:2, I hope they incorporate some system to manage migration with an update in an orderly way, in the same way as it's done with testing/live systems in software deployments.
